Gum Treatment Gum treatment is the treatment of active gum and jaw bone disease. Gum disease treatment can slow or stop the progression of gum disease.
Partials A dental partial is a partial denture, meant to replace only a few missing teeth, rather than a full arch.
Dental Implant / Restoration A dental implant is an artificial tooth root replacement and is used in prosthetic dentistry.
Cosmetic Bonding The dental bonding procedure utilizes a composite resin and is used for a variety of structural as well as cosmetic purposes.
Root Canals A procedure used to save an abscessed tooth by removing the dental pulp (nerve) after the tooth is dead or has had the pulp exposed due to cavities or fractures.
Teeth Whitening Medicaments which are applied to the teeth to brighten their appearance. Most teeth whitening procedures can be performed at home.
Dentures Dentures replace missing teeth and their adjacent tissues with a removable dental appliance made of acrylic resin and, in some cases, a combination of metals.
Fillings Teeth that have been affected by tooth decay (caries or cavities) require a filling. There are many different types of fillings.
Bonding The name given to the process of placing white fillings. This process involves chemically etching the tooth enamel so that the filling material will better adhere to the tooth.
Dental Implants Artificial devices usually made of metal, which are implanted within the jawbone which mimic the roots of teeth. These can be used to replace missing teeth or retain denture appliances.
Bridges A non-removable restoration that is used to replace missing teeth. It is fabricated by placing crowns on each side of the space where the tooth is missing and suspending a false tooth between them. This piece is then cemented in.
Crowns A full covering placed on a tooth to replace missing structure and/or reinforce and strengthen the tooth. They are indicated for broken or cracked teeth or those that have previous fillings encompassing more than half the width of the tooth.
